Congratulations!!!

The Minnesota Renegades are proud to announce that six of our Renegades coaching staff have been certified by the National Fastpitch Coaches College (NFCC). "The Art of Championship Coaching" course, sponsored by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA), was held at the University of Minnesota. This NFCC 400-level course is offered by the National Fastpitch Coaches College once or twice a year throughout the country. The NFCC is considered to be the top organization for softball instruction. Its members include college coaches, high school coaches and travel ball coaches. Participants traveled from areas as far away as Kansas, Missouri, Texas, California, as well as Iowa, Wisconsin, and Minnesota, with a balance of coaches from college, high school and travel ball.  The Renegades had the largest representation, with only one other coach from Elite League club teams in attendance.

Completing the course were Robert Ferguson, Mark Peterson, Jack Thibault, and Nat Wagner.

Nat Wagner earned the NFCA title of "Master Coach" by completing the prescribed courses.

Lead Instructor was Susan Craig, long-time head coach at the University of New Mexico and top clinician. Instructors were Rhonda Revelle, head coach at the University of Nebraska, and Gayle Blevins, head coach at the University of Iowa.

Topics covered throughout the three days were "How Do You Connect With Your Team?," "Providing A Foundation For Your Program," "Managing Player Behavior," "Providing Direction For Your Team," "Lead Your Team Through Challenging Times," "Team Building," and "Building Mental Skills." Classes presented a comprehensive approach to coaching and managing a team throughout the season and the year.

Thanks to all of you for your time and your untiring commitment to excellence for the Minnesota Renegades program.
